Carl Levin Saves C-SPAN by Saying 'Sh*tty' a Dozen Times on Camera

It's safe to say that C-SPAN isn't the most stimulating TV channel. Its static camera work, unimaginative graphics department and impenetrably wonky subject matter challenge most any viewer's patience. But today, Senator Carl Levin gave the network a shot in the arm. His subcommittee was examining Goldman Sachs' role in the financial crisis and he unearthed a company e-mail describing a "shitty deal" Goldman brokered. That's when it all hit the fan:

Levin laments:

You knew it was a shitty deal and that's what your email showed... You're trying to sell a shitty deal and it's your top priority... Should Goldman Sachs be trying to sell a shitty deal?
