For most people, Thursday's brief stock market free-fall was scary. But for NBC anchor Brian Williams it was 9/11 scary. On the Late Show with David Letterman, the authoritative-sounding newsman outlines the severity of the market swing. He also does a pretty good job of terrifying Letterman:
Here's what happened this afternoon and this is not hyperbolic but I felt a sickness in the pit of my stomach. Kind of 9/11 sickness in the pit of my stomach. I watched, over fifteen minutes, our stock market fell exactly 1,000 points this afternoon.
