For most people, Thursday's brief stock market
free-fall was scary. But for NBC anchor Brian Williams it was 9/11
scary. On the Late Show with David Letterman, the
authoritative-sounding newsman outlines the severity of the market
swing. He also does a pretty good job of terrifying Letterman:
what happened this afternoon and this is not hyperbolic but I felt a
sickness in the pit of my stomach. Kind of 9/11 sickness in the pit of
my stomach. I watched, over fifteen minutes, our stock market fell
exactly 1,000 points this afternoon.
