Better Business Bureau Gives Hamas an A- Rating

John Hudson 172 Views Nov 12, 2010
To excellent comedic effect, a few disgruntled businessmen decided to teach the Better Business Bureau a lesson. What was their problem? Apparently, the BBB has been running a pay-to-play racket in which only businesses who pay for a $425 membership fee get favorable ratings. (ABC's Brian Ross has an in-depth investigation of the consumer watchdog group airing Friday night.) So to make their case, the LA business owners registered a fake company called Hamas (after the terrorist outfit), paid the $425 membership fee and voila! received an A- rating. Ross says BBB also gave A ratings to a neo-Nazi group and (maybe these don't belong in the same breath) a fake sushi restaurant.

Clean up your act, triple B!
