Photo Choice of the Day

As we at the Wire know, it's hard to choose a photo for wonky stories. Eventually, on Fed posts, you run out of photos of dollar bills or a worried Bernanke--the man only has so many flattering angles. For something like a post on farm subsidies, one could go with a shot of a waving field of wheat.

Or, you could go for a shot of a cat eating an ear of corn, as Darryl Hart did at Front Porch Republic. Hart's not happy to hear that he might be paying more for India Pale Ales because the government is subsidizing corn production, purportedly reducing the supply of hops and increasing the price of beer. Thus, a headline-photo pairing for the ages:
