Nearly Half of 2011's New York Times Issues Rely on WikiLeaks
The Atlantic Wire's own former editor-at-large Michael Kinsley, who hopped over to Politico last summer, appears to be poised for another move. Following New York magazine columnist John Heilemann's cryptic tweet: "Just ran into Mike Kinsley in lobby of offices of Bloomberg View, getting tour from DShipley. Draw your own conclusions #anothermarqueehire." FishbowlDC got the goods: "An industry source has confirmed t hat Kinsley is going to work for Bloomberg View," writes Betsy Rothstein. "We hear that a number of editorial writers and editors are being paid $500,000 or more to jump ship. More announcements are coming." Bloomberg View is the media behemoth's new venture in opinion journalism. For those keeping track, Newsweek's Jonathan Alter is headed there, too.
