It feels like Katie Couric has been leaving CBS since she was at NBC, but today she finally set the date for her final night at the desk of Evening News. Her last show will be May 19th, next Thursday. (Scott Pelley won't be debuting until June 6, so don't worry about him getting stuck with a Friday night first show.) Couric's five-year contract was set to expire June 4. There's no word yet on who will anchor during the two week gap, but it's probably covered in the "meticulously arranged exit plan" CBS News has put together to handle the transition.
