Go the F*ck to Sleep has debuted at No. 1 on the New York Times bestseller list for hardcover Advice & Miscellaneous titles. The Hollywood Reporter notes the book's publisher initially printed 275,000 copies last October (the book had already topped the Amazon list seven months before it hit shelves). By now, however, already 400,000 copies have been printed to meet demand. And in either-humorous-or-discouraging news: the book's wild success prompted the publisher to pursue 15 international versions of the title. The gushing publisher, Johnny Temple, spoke excitedly to the Reporter about potential t-shirt deals, a G-rated version of the book and other merchandising opportunities. Look for all the spin-offs to presumably hit Urban Outfitters shortly.

In anticipation of its debut, Americans this week have been treated to both Samuel L. Jackson and German director Warner Herzog reading aloud from a book that's was simply described by the Times as giving a "frustrated voice to a universal problem for parents of small and stubborn children."
