Comment of the Day: So, Is There Phone Hacking In the U.S.?

Today, News Corp. finally had enough of the distasteful and damaging accusations of phone hacking leveled at its UK tabloid News of the World. Media moguls Rupert and James Murdoch shut the whole operation down: this Sunday will be its last printed issue. With the U.K. phone hacking revelations widening in outrage and allegations, commenter cejaxon wondered:

To what extent has this hacking occurred in the US? Fox News, the Wall Street Journal, or the New York Post may not be involved, but it's improbable that some of the celebrity hacks didn't involve calls placed in or to the US. When are we going to investigate this? & by the way, how is this being covered by Fox News?
