MSNBC is set to give The Nation's Washington editor and frequent network guest host Chris Hayes his own weekend news show starting this fall, the latest leftward shift from the already liberal-leaning cable network. According to a tweet from New York Times media reporter Brian Stelter, the show will air Saturdays from "7 [a.m. to] 9 a.m." and Sundays from "8 [a.m. to] 10 a.m." and shift Alex Witt, who currently has the timeslots, back to 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays and 10 a.m. to noon on Sundays.

Hayes tweets that he'll be staying on at The Nation as an editor-at-large. 

Still no official word on whether Al Sharpton will permanently replace the departed Cenk Uygur at 6 p.m on weeknights.
