The San Diego Union-Tribune Has a Wardrobe Solution for Journalism

Dressing better and working a normal, and standard 8:30-5:30, 40-hour work week will supposedly help the company go from "good" to "great". Romenesko pointed out the new memo from its new owners detailing the importance of dress codes (full disclosure: The Atlantic has a business casual dress code) and standardized work hours this past weekend, which gave his readers enough time to come up with some tart responses to the (good luck with that) corporate makeover at the Union-Tribune. Our favorite comment champions the rights for pajama bloggers, albeit with a side dish of unwanted imagery:

What a gargantuan step backward in thinking. There are best-selling authors and journalists who write from home in their pjs or probably naked.
