U.S. GDP Up 2.8 Percent

The United States gross domestic product grew at an annual rate of 2.8 percent in the fourth quarter over last quarter's growth of 1.8 percent, but it fell slightly short of analysts' expectations, which had predicted a 3 percent rate.
