Olbermann Reviews: Same as the Old 'Countdown,' Only More So
Joy Behar's going to be back in charge of her own show as early as next week, when she takes over Eliot Spitzer's time slot on Current TV while the Viewpoint host goes on vacation. That's according to Deadline's Nellie Andreeva, and it's the most detail we've heard yet about Behar's move to Al Gore's cable network after the View co-host gave up her show on HLN at the end of last year.
Behar's new regular Current program will premier in September, airing Mondays through Thursdays at 6 p.m., so her stint filling in for Spitzer will work as something of a preview. The rumor that Behar would be moving to Current had been floating around since Sunday night, when former Page Six writer Paula Froelich reported it on her Tumblr. Deadline's Andreeva is the first to report the details of Behar's deal, but the early start date suggests it's been in the works for a while.
