Morning Vid: Jon Stewart Lampoons the 'I Forgot He Was Black' Moment

John Hudson 52 Views Jan 29, 2010
Cable news talking heads gave Comedy Central's Jon Stewart a giant gift with their coverage of the president's State of the Union address. Last night, Stewart took them down one by one: he skewered Fox News and MSNBC for partisan reporting; lambasted CNN for its Twitter obsession; and gave special attention to Chris Matthews's "I forgot he was black" moment.

After rolling Matthews's soundbite, he says the MSNBC host is "one scotch away from being Ron Burgundy." He then brings on Daily Show member Wyatt Cenac, an African-American, who breaks into the American Idol rap "Pants on the Ground" after gasping "I forgot I was black!"
