The first days of the Winter Olympics have already been eventful--too eventful, in some cases. That's despite the fact that many commentators have complained that winter sports are obscure and boring--curling perhaps above all.

Of course, even Olympics-lovers may not have the slightest idea how it's played, though everyone knows it involves brooms. Luckily, Colbert Nation continues to release "outtakes" of Steven Colbert's "tryout" for the U.S. men's Olympic curling team. Below, the host gives a musical explanation of the sport:
