Tim Gunn vs. Superhero Costumes

Fashion expert Tim Gunn didn't become a TV star on Project Runway and Tim Gunn's Guide to Style by withholding criticism. He may, however, be reaching a little bit with his latest bout of fashion poo-pooing. Gunn sits down with comic-book historian Alan Kistler to dish on the fashion of superheros. As NPR's Glen Walden puts it, "It's TIM GUNN. At his Tim Gunniest!" He calls one of the cape colors "ridiculously extreme and I don't understand it." Of course, they're superhero costumes and also entirely fictional, but that doesn't stop Gunn from getting a few good cuts in.



"This looks so Broadway," he says of Catwoman's costume.
