Lunchtime Vid: Glenn Beck's Innuendo-Laden Goldline Defense

Jared Keller May 20, 2010
In April, Fox News fixture Glenn Beck was quoted as saying "I could give a flying crap about the political process...we're an entertainment company." It's no surprise, then, that Beck's televised response to Democratic Congressman Anthony Weiner's attacks on gold-selling company Goldline employed all the theatrical flairs that make the Glenn Beck program such an exasperating--or delightful--display.

Wednesday's program contained a salvo of double entendres playing on the congressman's surname that only Beck could or would deliver, complete with a new tipline, Weinerfacts.com. Said Beck, "we're putting this together because, really, the only way to deal with the joke of an investigation is to treat it like a joke of an investigation."
