Kroft tempts O'Brien to air his grievances about Jay Leno and NBC chief executive Jeff Zucker but the red-headed comic pulls his punches. The closest O'Brien come to denouncing Leno is this:
If I had surrendered The Tonight Show and handed it over to somebody publicly and wished them well, I would not have come back six months later. But that's me. Everyone's got their own way of doing things. The non-disparagement clause he signed with NBC ties his hands and it's noticeably gnawing at him during the interview. Will O'Brien ever openly tell his side of the story?
