Free Willy Recut as Horror Film

Did you think 1993 family-oriented whale drama Free Willy lacked a certain something? Maybe it wasn't quite titillating enough? Then Youtube-based comedy team The Nix Brothers, previously known for such hits as "Lowell Gleason Wears Glasses," has the thing for you. They've produced a surprisingly compelling, recut Free Willy trailer that frames the movie as a super-creepy horror film. The movie is, after all, about a killer whale. Here's their trailer:




As if that wouldn't be scary enough for kids, it's also worth remembering that the film's theme song, "Will You Be There," was written and performed by Michael Jackson, a figure whom children might also have some reason to fear. Here's the music video. Which is scarier?
