But the connection goes deeper. The Apprentice host is apparently also "very nice" to the novelist. "Whenever he sees me," says Rushdie, " he points and shouts, 'You're the best!' (Which is better than 'You're fired!' I guess.)"
It's hard to imagine Trump delivering the same responses as Rushdie does to some of the other questions, though. Some of our favorites:
