Happy Hour Vid: WSJ vs. NYT as Taiwanese Cartoon

Heather Horn 172 Views Sep 8, 2010

How would you like to see the New York City newspaper war explained through animation and a torrent of Mandarin? Taipei-based Next Media Animation has been offering up some pretty choice clips recently. Two weeks ago there was an edgy satirical take on backlash to the Cordoba House initiative. Today, the company explains the New York Times-Wall Street Journal war over New York customers.

Highlights: Rupert Murdoch with a dorsal fin directing helicopters, and a part right around 0:45 when a Journal man in a suit gets turned into a lady in a cowlneck red number, as one colleague is given an apron and tools vaguely suggestive of manual labor and another is tossed into a hideous jacket in an attempt to make him into an entertainment reporter. Have a look.
