The NFL vs. Russ Feingold

Ray Gustini Oct 5, 2010
Short on cash and trailing in the polls, the reelection bid of Wisconsin Senator Russ Feingold was dealt another blow Tuesday, with the NFL ordering the campaign to pull a new ad featuring footage of former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Randy Moss pretending to moon the Lambeau Field crowd after scoring a touchdown against the Packers in 2005.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Don Walker that the campaign did not license the footage of Moss and the league had asked the campaign to remove it.

We're not sure conjuring up the ghost of Randy Moss would help Feingold anyway. The mooning game was five years ago, and Moss now plays for the Patriots. Plus, isn't there someone else in Minnesota Wisconsin sports fans like even less?
