Bob Geldof: I Wrote the Worst Christmas Song Ever

Ray Gustini 75 Views Nov 29, 2010
Do you know "Do They Know It's Christmas?" AOL says it's the worst Christmas song ever, a statement anyone who has ever listened to the radio in December is likely to agree with. This now includes former Boomtown Rats frontman Bob Geldof, who co-wrote the single (released 26 years ago today) for superduper group Band Aid in 1984.

"I am responsible for two of the worst songs in history. One is Do They Know It’s Christmas? and the other one is We Are The World," Geldof admitted to the Australian Daily Telegraph in an interview last week. "Any day soon, I will go to the supermarket, head to the meat counter and it will be playing. Every [expletive] Christmas."

Every [expletive] Christmas.
