America's finest news source has decided throw its hat into the hyper-partisan cable news ring. With a satirical TV series airing on IFC, that is. Hoping to find its niche somewhere between the "Lean Forward" and "Move Forward" networks, The Onion has released its first promo of a forthcoming series entitled The Onion News Network. Armed with the muscular tag line ("News Without Mercy"), an urgent, pulsing score and reporters promised to lack all forms of "human empathy or compassion" the mock network looks to at take aim at its more established rivals (or at least a bite out of Jon Stewart's ratings).
