--San Francisco Giants closer Brian Wilson, in today's New York Times, on why he thinks pitchers do more crossword puzzles than their teammates. Wilson, a somewhat eccentric and beloved charcter on the World Series-winning Giants last year, had expressed his desire to appear in a Times crossword puzzle around the same time. Today he gets his wish: he's included in the Times' Thursday crossword. The Giants play the Dodgers in an opening day game tonight.
