On Monday, the struggling AMC theater chain filed forms to continue with a $450 million initial public stock offering, its third time in four years. This morning, The Wire's Ray Gustini summed up the skepticism to the announcement nicely: "Movie theaters are a nice place to visit but, to paraphrase Ernie from Sesame Street, we wouldn't want to invest our money there."
From commenter PERFECTCIRCLES comes an even more practical sentiment:
I have $18 left on my AMC gift card. I better use it soon.
