Saint Patrick's Day and Other Holidays Drunk Americans Stole

Today is Saint Patrick's day, an originally tame, Irish family holiday that Americans have reappropriated over the years as a day of river-dying, green beer-drinking, and drunken parades. That got us thinking, what other holiday's have we adopted from other countries as an excuse to get drunk during the day? Here's a look at our favorite foreign holidays done the American way.
