Federal, state, and local authorities arrested more than 30 people in Baltimore Thursday morning in connection with what the Baltimore Sun is calling a "large-scale heroin and marijuana operation." One of these people was Felicia "Snoop" Pearson, famous for her portrayal of a professional killer named Felicia "Snoop" Pearson on HBO's The Wire. The real Pearson was convicted of murder at age 14 and had no formal training as an actor when she joined the cast. Her mixture of authenticity and--if such a thing is possible--guileless malice made scenes as simple as purchasing a power drill a harrowing viewing experience.
She was most recently seen eating crab cakes with Anthony Bourdain.
