  • Meredith Vieria will leave NBC's Today show in June, three months before her contract expires. Ann Curry--currently newsreader on the show--will be promoted to co-host, with correspondent Natalie Morales taking over Curry's duties. As recently as last week, Today executive producer Jim Bell said he and Vieria's reps were "still talking" about an extension. [The Hollywood Reporter]
  • Bloomberg View, the Bloomberg News editorial site that's set to launch in May, has added The Atlantic's own Jeffrey Goldberg as a columnist. He'll keep his day job of course. [The Huffington Post]
  • Self-help guru Deepak Chopra is getting his own imprint at Random House. The division will target manuscripts involving "'expanded science' that bridges spirituality." [New York Observer]
  • Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay is suing WME, her former agency, for two years worth of commissions. Hargitay, who has since decamped to Paradigm, says the WME "refused to assist her in negotiating" her contract for seasons 11 and 12, and isn't entitled to 10 percent of her $400,000 an episode salary.   • Katie Holmes has settled the $50 million defamation lawsuit she filed against Star magazine for its "Katie DRUG SHOCKER" cover back in January. Financial terms weren't disclosed, but the tabloid agreed to print a retraction in the new issue. [The Reliable Source]
