Comment of the Day: 'Homance'? Really?

Heather Horn 1,121 Views May 11, 2011

Reader annaperez objects to Slate's Jessica Grose using the term "homance"--inspired by the term "bromance"--to describe the new comedy Bridesmaids.

"Homance?!" Does that mean what I think it means? Please tell me a journalist, no a female journalist, didn't just name this, hopefully, emerging comedy genre after "whores." Men are "brothers," and women are "whores." That's just Grose, er, gross.
