Here at The Atlantic Wire, we respect and value the social media editors who share the links that make our jobs easier. Sometimes, though, we have no idea what they're talking about. So after a day of staring at Twitter, we're sharing our favorite head-scratchers.

CORRECTION: A case of bubonic plague has hit New Mexico, not Mexico. Apologies | http://ti.me/mb7xxI (via @TIMEHealthland)less than a minute ago via HootSuite Favorite Retweet Reply

Owning up quickly to a mistake is important when you're on Twitter. Equally important: not making a "Land of Enchantment" joke while the plague is bearing down on New Mexico.

Is it Princess Beatrice's hat? That's the only piece of headware in the business today that deserves top billing over Chris Rock.

Pink Floyd to release "unreleased" music http://bit.ly/inH6q4 (via @celebcircuit)less than a minute ago via HootSuite Favorite Retweet Reply

When you think about it, doesn't this apply to all music before it's released? They're going to release it, it's not going to stay unreleased. A better slug would have been "Pink Floyd to release regular music."

So many questions. why did she yell Lyme Disease? Why did she phrase it as a question? Outbursts at The Waldorf used to be so much simpler. (There's also the possibility that the tweet was unclear and the woman's outburst was caused by Lyme disease. She could have yelled something completely different. Maybe even in another language.)

The gritty police procedural that is the @BBCWorld Twitter feed never disappoints
