For Fox News, the day probably couldn't arrive fast enough: The Glenn Beck Show will officially end on June 30th. This morning, Mediaite learned the date and confirmed it with the cable news network, ending speculation about when the transition will actually happen. The show's post-mortems have yet to be written, although it probably will be remembered as part career launching pad, part ratings bonanza and part conspiracy-ridden embarressment that may have overshadowed the Fox News brand and caused Roger Ailes to push Beck from News Corp.

As for Beck, he doesn't appear worried about his post-Fox future. In a bid to build a personal empire that rivals Oprah he's overseeing a web news channel, news website and a Groupon-style coupon destination and just launched his own book imprint yesterday. We do expect a highly entertaining Fox News finale on June 30th, however.
