Former White Stripes frontman Jack White has an important announcement for his close friends and family: He's getting divorced and you're all invited to the party. The guitarist is throwing a blowout party tonight in Nashville, according to the flyer sent to guests, to celebrate the "6th anniversary and their upcoming divorce with a positive swing bang hum dinger," reports E! Online. He's splitting with singer and model Karen Elson who he married in 2005 by a Shaman priest "in a canoe at the spot where three rivers--the Rio Negro, the Solimones and the Amazon--meet," reported Rolling Stone at the time.

Props to them. Lots of estranged couples like to tell their children "mommy and daddy still love each other" but these two are really sending the message home. In a statement, White said he and Elson "remain dear and trusted friends and co-parents to our wonderful children Scarlett and Henry Lee," and "feel so fortunate for the time we have shared and the time we will continue to spend both separately and together watching our children grow."
