Bloomberg 'Discreetly' Buys $20 Million Hamptons Estate

Michael Bloomberg has snapped up a new vacation home: a $20 million, 22,000-square-foot Hamptons home, on a sprawling 35-acre estate, built by architect F. Burrall Hoffman in 1910. Not bad at all for third or fourth residence. The New York Post, which noted that he "discreetly" signed the contract, described it as a "palace with black-and-white marbled floors and stately paneled libraries." It also includes 11 bedrooms, a tennis court, horse riding stables and probably everything else that you can possibly imagine. In April, a property matching the description described in the Post article was detailed on the website Curbed Hamptons, which pointed to the blog Old Long Island for aged photographs of the Ballyshear estate.
