Here at The Atlantic Wire, we respect and value the social media editors who share the links that make our jobs easier. Sometimes, though, we have no idea what they're talking about. So after a day of staring at Twitter, we're sharing our favorites.
Kittens: the silent killer: http://tumblr.com/xlv3fye80n
The silver lining to this story: the kittens aren't killing people, they're just killing the environment. Which isn't a silver lining at all, but it's better than worrying whether your cat has your certain death planned for this evening.
The links between U.S. and European banks look like a web made by an insane spider. http://t.co/X1H0tM1
We looked at the chart, and frankly, insane is a tad harsh. This looks more like the work of a spider who hasn't been getting enough vitamin C.
Liam Gallagher Something-Something, Noel Didn't -- Did Too -- Etc... http://bit.ly/oKS6OM
It's a shame that Oasis broke up two years ago and Noel and Liam Gallagher haven't spoken since. We can't think of a story involving the Gallagher brothers that this template wouldn't work for.
George Orwell on News of the World: http://slate.me/rcLiJo
The dead have risen and they're writing for Slate! (We kid: it's actually a link to a very good new Anne Applebaum column.)
Human Swallows Pill. Mosquito Bites Human. Mosquito Dies. http://nyti.ms/p7HpQ3
And the summertime circle of life is once again complete.
