Here at The Atlantic Wire, we respect and value the social media editors who share the links that make our jobs easier. Sometimes, though, we have no idea what they're talking about. So after a day of staring at Twitter, we're sharing our favorites.

There's an easy and mean joke to be made suggesting that this sounds like every day on the Today show, but it's not. For one thing, nobody sang "Don't Stop Believin'" and cried when Carole King showed up.

Try telling that to the Soviets. Slow and steady got them nowhere.

Rule of thumb for the "(insert traditionally non-sexual noun) porn" trend. It becomes unsettling when the non-sexual noun could, conceivably, star in a flar-flung specialty brand of pornography. Like birds.

Is this fair use of Bat Boy? The courts will likely have the final say, but we'd just like to note: this sounds like rather batty behavior.

So in a way, Michele Bachmann was just pledging her fandom when she wished Elvis a happy birthday today.

Another contender in our contest to find the Twitter answer to the New York Post's infamous "Headless Body In Topless Bar" headline. We like it even more than the one about the naked man found in Wichita trunk.
