Here at The Atlantic Wire, we respect and value the social media editors who share the links that make our jobs easier. Sometimes, though, we have no idea what they're talking about. So after a day of staring at Twitter, we're sharing our favorites.
Dick Cheney is most definitely pro-yacht: http://t.co/lCbwoFV
That's fine, but it leaves him open to charges of flip-flopping on schooners, catamarans and/or wooden dinghies.
Girl home alone after car stopped http://t.co/PfYEXBz
Settle an argument: is England too large for just one Patch site? We say yes. There are literally dozens--dozens--of unattended British children this tweet could be referring to.
Another reason to like pandas: http://t.co/3KFbdzZ #biofuels
The most ominous hash tag we saw all day. We don't want to drive a panda hide-fueled car, even if the mileage if the mileage is terrific and it lessens our reliance on foreign oil. We'll just pay for the damn foreign oil.
Texas A&M to leave Big 12 in 2012 if SEC let's them play in best football conference. http://t.co/xpKR3go
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Twitter feed left no doubt about where it stands on the SEC expanding. It will be interesting to see if the paper's editorial board feels the same way, and can express that sentiment in under 140 characters.
Let us count the ways we're excited about next week: 'View' wedding scoop, new phone hacking hearings AND a prez. speech/maybe debate? YES.
At The Huffington Post, the countdown to next week arrived so early, it scooped the countdown to the weekend. That's the sign of an eager group.
