Twitter users care more about Beyonce's pregnancy than the killing of Osama bin Laden. At least if you count caring in terms of tweets. The mega-star's baby announcement set a record, according to Twitter. "Last night at 10:35pm ET, Beyonce's big MTV #VMA moment gave Twitter a record bump: 8,868 Tweets per second." That's a lot of Tweets, and it's even more Tweets per second than during the high-peak event of Osama bin Laden's death, explains TechCrunch's Leena Rao. "In terms of past record events, Bin Laden’s death drew a significant peak in Tweets Per Second with 5,106 TPS."
