Last night, Jon Stewart managed to mark the end of Don't Ask, Don't Tell and tout his Emmy award win in same kick-off segment (before the extended interview with Confidence Men author Ron Suskind). And, before summoning his correspondent Jason Jones for a dispatch, he already delivered his punch-line on the repealed policy that barred gays from openly serving: "That's how ridiculous this policy was. The apology for the affront is, 'All right, sorry, you can go to Afghanistan and fight for your country." Arguably the funniest part of the segment, however, was Stewart's clichéd Bill Clinton impression near the end where he traces the history of DADT policy--his Emmy award interrupts and chides him for making a stale joke:
