Here at The Atlantic Wire, we respect and value the social media editors who share the links that make our jobs easier. Sometimes, though, we have no idea what they're talking about. So after a day of staring at Twitter, we're sharing our favorites.

If running the Internet's most powerful news hub ever gets old, Matt Drudge could easily turn the site into horse racing tip service. Tweets like this make us wonder if it's already in the process of happening. (Now who do you like in the fourth at Santa Anita?)

You'll hear more about her at the next GOP debate, when the candidates explain how their tax plans will help Martha the Passenger Pigeon, because she's a small business owner and makes more than $500,000 a year.

We always just assumed it had something to do with the Coriolis effect. Because in Australia, they put out the Anzac Day stuff before the Queen's Birthday. And the less said about their take on the War on Christmas the better.

There's a lesson here: do not just blindly agree with things said by strangers in crowds, even if they are wearing spectacles. It could be this guy talking.

Our favorite Huh?-inducing tweet from the first eight months of 2011, hands down. We're having a hard time imagining a contextless 140 character message that could unseat it. Of the usual What the Tweet? suspects, only the BBC seems capable of rising to the challenge.
