Thanks to two heavily retweeted witnesses who said that he'd been kicked off a plane, the Internet has been full of speculation about what was going on with 30 Rock star Alec Baldwin on an American Airlines flight before he responded on Twitter.  And here's his version: "Flight attendant on American reamed me out 4 playing WORDS W FRIENDS while we sat at the gate, not moving." For emphasis, he added, like any frustrated passenger: "#nowonderamericaairisbankrupt."

So, it looks like Baldwin had some sort of disagreement with a flight attendant over, as Gawker pointed to, using his iPhone or iPad to play Words With Friends while waiting at the gate. Maybe he can rally his 590,945 Twitter followers to sign the sad petition we wrote about yesterday. Updates when Baldwin--or American Airlines officials--add more details.

Update:  Well, Alec Baldwin is apparently good at rescheduling: he's on another flight and American Airlines is "looking into" the original incident.
