We respect and value the social media editors who share the links that make our job easier. But sometimes, we have no idea what they are talking about. So after a long day spent staring at Twitter, we're sharing our favorites.
Okay, this is actually an amazing story -- you should read every word. In case you don't want to, the slightly longer-than-a-tweet summary goes something like this: Man spots Greyhound bus in a cold parking lot, enters said bus seeking warmth, realizes it's still running, decides to visit a friend 70 miles away by driving to the bus to that friend's house. Greyhound realizes the bus went missing, disables the engine through some sort of amazing remote kill switch, landing the bus stealer in jail. In conclusion, don't ever steal a bus. It's super conspicuous. And don't mess with Greyhound, either. You don't know what they got.
Sigh, Slate. Sigh. All we wanted for Christmas was for you to stop using all caps to announce the obvious. We doubted that watching an elf breakdance for Newt -- admittedly, an amazing sight to behold -- would involve an animated gif. That said, we'd like to see somebody animate that gif!
This is the tweet that HuffPost's social media editor was born to write. If it didn't happen in 2011, it would've happened in 2012, 2013 or even 2113. But it just happened. HuffPost social media editor, you may now retire with honor.
File under: tweets you should've visualized before tweeting. Nobody wants to read a newspaper that also appears to enjoy its new status as murder capital of the world. In related news: it's Honduras by a horrifying margin.
Other tweets to articles we want to read include: PUTIN HOLDS GENTLE. (Click that; you won't regret it.)
This is encouraging news about America.
This is deeply, deeply discouraging news about America. Also, mankind.
