Jon Stewart Thinks the Media Might Be Bitter About 'Kony 2012'

Invisible Children has done more to raise the profile of Joseph Kony in a 30-minute YouTube video than the mainstream media has with several decades of coverage, and Jon Stewart can't help but notice some hard feelings in the way they cover the story. Weighing in the #kony2012 on yesterday evening's Daily Show, Stewart culls clips of journalists like Ann Curry and Anderson Cooper prefacing their interviews with Invisible Children founder Jason Russell by noting how their respective networks have been tracking the story for years. Apparently all it took to "make Kony famous" was some production value and scaring a little kid, Stewart concludes.
