We realize there's only so much time one can spend in a day watching new trailers, viral video clips, and shaky cell phone footage of people arguing on live television. This is why every day The Atlantic Wire highlights the videos that truly earn your five minutes (or less) of attention. Today: Al Franken gets emotional, One World Trade Center rises before your eyes, and Jimmy Fallon does a mean Jerry Seinfeld.
It takes years to build an iconic skyscraper, but only two minutes to watch other people build one! ABC News points us to this great time lapse of construction at 1 World Trade Center done by Earth Cam.
We mostly remember Jimmy Fallon's Saturday Night Live run as one in which he did Weekend Update and laughed during other people's sketches. But watching his audition tape for the show (he seems to be trending thanks to the Midas Touch of Obama) we see why they hired the guy. He's obviously nervous, but hey some of those impressions are pretty good! His Jerry Seinfeld, in particular, had us laughing. Anyway have a look. [Via Vulture]
Max Greenfield, of New Girl fame, tells Jimmy Kimmel about his oddly-themed Bar Mitzvah. Highlights: A giant cutout of David Spade's head served as a table centerpiece. Most enjoyable, though, is how obviously pleased he is that Kimmel brought the whole thing up. [via Vulture]
