The folks at Fast Company Design are mourning the loss of America's oldest teenager the best way they know how: Highlighting the amazing Malibu cave mansion that Dick Clark proudly owned. As Co.Design's Suzanne Labarre writes:

Perched on some 23 acres atop a mountain overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the house even had the faux-Stone Age furniture to match: rough-hewn chairs with rawhide-style seat backs around a table that looks like an ice floe and kitchen fixtures that may or may not have been carved from a huge slab of sedimentary rock.

So, words kind of do no justice to this cave thing. Seriously, look at these images from real estate broker Diane Carter's website:

And if you happen to have $3.5 million in your budget, this dream cave could be yours. "This is art as architecture at it's finest," reads the description of Clark's cave on Carter's site. "This truly magical retreat offers seclusion, privacy & serenity yet minutes from the beach." The one drawback?  It's a one bedroom.
