The ludicrous $800,000 Las Vegas bender thrown by the Government Services Administration, an agency responsible for managing government spending, is so laced with irony that Jon Stewart just had to take notice.
Not only was the conference's bill extravagant, by spending the money on yearbooks, commemorative coins, clowns, and keychains, the GSA was insultingly kitschy. Stewart notes that by criticizing the conference, this is one of the few times he agrees with Fox News -- so much so that he invites Papa Bear himself on for a segment lampooning the GSA.
