The Atlantic's Jeffrey Goldberg posted an interview Thursday with Matt Damon about the actor's NGO, Water.org, but as with a few other Goldberg interviews we can think of, things get slightly out of hand—in the best way possible.

From the interview:

Jeff Goldberg: Bush showed that you could increase aid budgets, I think. He did PEPFAR (a U.S. funded-program - the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief -- that has brought anti-retroviral drugs (ARVs) to more than a million AIDS patients in Africa).

Matt Damon: I would kiss George W. Bush on the mouth for what he did on PEPFAR.

JG: How long would you kiss him?

MD: Three seconds. No tongue.

How ya like them apples?

We think the former president would probably settle for something less, a handshake perhaps. But anyway, the two mostly stick to their topic at hand -- how to get Americans to support efforts to provide clean water in developing countries. The complete interview can be found on The Atlantic.
