Fans who like the Today show just the way it is, this is your lucky day: Matt Lauer and NBC have worked out a deal, and the host won't be going anywhere.

It's a long-term contract, the Associated Press reports, but we don't know exactly how long, nor how much NBC agreed to pay him. TMZ had reported previously that Lauer was holding out for $30 million a year, up from the $17 million he's getting, and the AP Friday cited a "recent report" that Lauer was going to land a $25 million deal, but that's still a matter of rumor. What we do know is that we can finally put to bed speculation that Ryan Seacrest was going to replace Lauer. Lauer said on the show Friday: "This is my family." Aww, what's a few million dollars among family?
