It's true: Our little gimmicks to bring in readers pack far less bang than The Daily Caller's plan to give out a gun a week until election day. As several commenters on our post about the Caller's contest pointed out, they're making the rest of us look bad. Commenter Floridainternational funnily complained:
Where's my gun Atlantic Wire?
I'm sorry but I've been a loyal reader for years and I don't have so much as a knife to show for it.
We don't have much of a weapons budget around here, so our readers will continue to go gun-and-knife-less. But as Between Two Worlds notes, they've sharpened their wits instead.
