As previously threatened, ratings-starved cable news network CNN is expanding its weekend programming by tapping Super Size Me documentarian Morgan Spurlock to host a show called Inside Man. Earlier this year, the network hired food shock-jock Anthony Bourdain to come aboard and do some sort of travelogue culinary program.

According to Deadline's Dominic Patten, CNN says Spurlock's show will "[take] viewers on colorful and informative journeys into fascinating corners of American society," which we assume means places that are more human interest quirky than, y'know, dangerous. Which is fine. Infotainment is a worthwhile commodity these days, and hey, it's scheduled for the weekend anyway. We just hope the show is more Super Size Me than it is Where In the World Is Osama Bin Laden. Spurlock's show will beginning airing in a block with Bourdain's next April, along with, presumably, some other news-lite fare. Meaning, keep your fingers crossed for Michael Kors' fashion and culture news show, Insane Crotches.
