We realize there's only so much time one can spend in a day watching new trailers, viral video clips, and shaky cell phone footage of people arguing on live television. This is why every day The Atlantic Wire highlights the videos that truly earn your five minutes (or less) of attention. Today:

Cookie Monster: Batman. Christopher Nolan, are you listening? Make this happen. 

Pets are precious and, like children, we're pretty sure that if we asked, you would tell us that your dog (cat, fish, parakeet, alpaca) is the best. We'd smile, nod and think "yeah right" ... unless this cute little guy happens to be the dog in question (if he is yours, we like our coffee black with two sugars):

And finally, we have two reasons why we never ever want to be on live television: the lack of exit strategy (as bloggers we can always walk away from our computer). Here are two examples of extreme awkwardness (one involves rhino flatulence, the other is an unintentional proposition). No, we can't tell which is more painful.
